Traveler ReviewsExcellent food, a bit on expensive side

We went to Postres (hard to remember the name!) with expectations: "This is a Michelin star restaurant but cannot be anything we havent seen yet". We were wrong.
Food and wines were very innovative and gave us a many surprises. They had many German wines on list which is very odd in a gourmet restaurant. Anyhow wines were excellent and waitresses knew exactly how to fit wines with the menu. Superb and professional service.
We ate 3 course menu with recommended wines at a cost of ca. 90e per head that is quite a lot but if you donīt do it every day and like to have something special...
Great food at an expensive but reasonable price

One of the top restaurants in Helsinki, and it did not disappoint. We had a wonderful meal and although not cheap the price was consistent with restaurants of this caliber.
Good but pricey option

Food is pretty good, location convenient in central part of Helsinki. Pricey menu and fresh ingredients but nothing specialy/memorable i.e. asparagus with hollandaise sauce (cant remember the main course). On the positive, they offered by the glass for every wine on their list.

My husband took me to Postres to celebrate my birthday.
We ate the 5 course menu with matching wine menu.
2 starters were delicious, main course (veal) melted in my mouth, cheese were served very well with a little jam or such to enhance taste, the weak link would be the dessert that was nothing saying (cookie with fruit-sorbet on top).
Staff was very friendly and true professionals (we are not so posh so it was nice the staff had a down to earth attitude and made us feel right at home).
The quiety felt a bit pressing at start; as it is a very small space there is not much space for private conversations.
I would recommend this for business, friends, romantic dinners etc.
Very excellent lunch, definitely worth at least one Michelin star. Chez Dominique lunch is still little bit better.
