We spent a fantastic week in January sailing with Brian & Heidi around Antigua. The food was excellent, as were the the sundownwers! We moored all round the island for snorkelling and visits to bays and small islands. At our request, Brian and Heidi taught us all there was to know about sailing the yacht and we even passed our Competent Crew whilst there! A thoughoughly enjoyable week!
A great way to see some stunning wildlife and the island, from the sea

The 6 hour sailing experience was more than we could have expected. 'Cool Cat' was huge and the crew of Wayne and his wife Lara were really easy going, and great chefs, the lunch was delicious! We saw a couple of turtles, pelicans and so many fish when I went snorkeling. It was the most well organised and enjoyable thing we did on our two week holiday, we felt that it was a special experience and would love to do it again one day. We also had some excellent dining advice from Wayne, (Dennis a great local restaurant we loved). Having been on a sailing trip with about 50 other people on our previous holiday to the island I can say without and hesitation that this is better value for money.
Great Trip- Wonderful Crew- Now Great Friends

I am an avid underwater photographer. Tourists groups aren't usually the best environment for a great trip or incredible photos. For our anniversary my wife chartered a private snorkeling trip with Miramar's Wayne and Laura aboard the Coolcat. I was surprised at how affordable the trip was (and worth every penny). You spend the day lounging on the forward net under the caribbean sun in some of the most beautiful crystal blue water in any of my travels, having drinks, being served a delicious lunch and privately snorkeling (no tourists, no hassles). Wyane is a world-class navigator who knows every reef around Antigua. He also knows resort tour schedules and how to avoid them. As we boarded in Jolly Harbor we were told by Captain Wayne "the cat is yours, welcome home while we sail the two of you on the greatest day of your lives, so just relax and we'll take care of everything". They certainly did. Drinks flowed, lunch was a delightful mix of Caribbean and South African flavors, the views were breathtaking and the water was incredible. It was truely what Wayne and Laura promised- "the greatest day of our lives".
As a bonus we discovered an undocumented shipwreck on the north side of Cades Reef. Pictures and description can be found on Google by typing in "Timm's Wreck".
We started the day with Wayne and Laura as our hosts and left with new best friends. We stay in contact and plan on seeing them again shortly.
A day to remember....

Sailing aboard Cool Cat is one of those activities that you just have to do when you visit Antigua. We sailed aboard Cool Cat on December 29th 2010. It was an amazing day that we will always remember.
Wayne and Lara are excellent hosts ensuring you have everything you want. The boat itself is well-equipped and big enough that most of the time you feel like you?re the only ones on board as you soak up the beautiful Caribbean scenery.
Beyond learning some geography and history of the area from our knowledgeable and entertaining hosts, as well as fast-tracking our tans, we enjoyed swimming in calm turquoise waters at Cades Reef followed by a superbly cooked barbequed lunch.

Wonderful Day Sailing Antigua

We are a married couple 60ish and took the Cool Cat on a Special Day for Two cruise out of Jolly Harbor. Our hosts, Wayne and Lara, welcomed us and immediately made us feel at home on the beautiful and spacious catamaran. We powered out of the harbor and then Wane and Lara set the sail and it was just the sound of the wind and the wake for the next couple of hours. We anchored in Carlisle Bay, a stunning and calm site, in clear and turquoise water. Great spot for snorkeling and swimming, and Lara served a delicious lunch of barbecued chicken, salad and a rice dish with Chilean chardonnay. All you need to bring are camera and sunscreen. This was the highlighyt of our ten days on Antigua.
